(Cognitively Well Unit)
Hopewell Court admits cognitively-well residents who require care but still demonstrate some degree
of independence and control over their surroundings. The intention
of this unit is to develop a
living environment that has a shared governance with the residents
in defining unit routines,
expectations, etc. Programming, environment, staff training,
assessment tools are specifically
designed to meet the needs of cognitively-well residents.
Residents in this unit are very involved in their daily activities
and surroundings. The focal point
of this court is social gatherings.
Hopewell Court has 29 residents living on the unit, with 9 private
rooms and 19 semi-private
rooms. Hopewell Court residents have access to
the entire facility, ie: outdoor courtyards,
outdoor terrace, main diningroom,and television lounges.
