Nightstand & Headboard Project 2024-2025
Our major Foundation Project currently underway, is to refurbish 126 resident rooms with new built in nightstands and matching headboards to match our beautiful wardrobe units. For every $15,000 we raise, Don Mitchener has pledged to donate $1500! Each unit costs $1240 or $2500 for a double room.
The units have magnetic locks so treatments can be stored at the bedside, allowing for more one-on-one care. Our furniture is 50+ years old and has seen better days.

Palliative Care Suite Project 2023.
Our second palliative care suite is now completed in our home. This project will bring comfort to families and residents like the Mahaney family during end of life care. Thank you to all those who contributed to this wonderful project!

The Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception made a gift of $50,000 toward the Palliative Care Suite Project at our 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration on October 29, 2022. They donated an additional $30,000 to the new Sisters of Charity Living Room in 2023.

Music Therapy.

New Brunswick has the fastest aging population in the country, and the government is only able to help provide the necessities of life.
Any extras, to make our seniors “home away from home” more comfortable, are provided by our Foundation. One of our wishes is to provide music therapy sessions. You can see how much this benefits our frail and elderly. These sessions are $50 an hour. We have 150 residents. A $350 gift provides one day of sessions with this music therapist. $4200 would provide one day every month. $18,500 would provide one day a week for a year.
